One participant was struck by the vehicle, though officials later confirmed the individual did not require hospital transport.
The demonstration was taking place near the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Glendon Avenue, where several dozen protesters had assembled. Witnesses reported that the vehicle rolled into the crowd, causing confusion and prompting bystanders to shout warnings as people moved out of the truck’s path.
Los Angeles Police Department officers detained the driver shortly after the incident.
